Walking to the Cross: Day 17 - Luke 9:33

Luke 9:33 – Just as they were leaving, Peter said to Jesus, “Master, it is good for us to be here; let us make three dwellings, one for you, one for Moses, and one for Elijah” – not knowing what he said.

“Can’t we stay a little longer?” There is comfort in what is known, so it isn’t surprising that Peter would want the moment of the Transfiguration to last. But life is lived in community with others, and we must trust that God remains by our side as we walk down our own hills into the unknown that lies before us.

Prayer
Loving God, I believe. Help my unbelief. AMEN.
