Diana Phayre
Diana has always had a heart for children. She served as a nurse for 38 years. One of her favourite experiences was working at a camp for kids with diabetes, where she really connected with the children.
Diana knew of the many medical needs around the world, but she never had the opportunity to go overseas to work as a nurse. When she read a letter from Hope and Healing International (Christian Blind Mission at the time) over 22 years ago, Diana knew this was a beautiful way to partner with God to make a difference in the world. She’s been giving to Hope and Healing ever since.
As a nurse, Diana knew the life-changing difference that medical care made — so leaving a gift in her Will to Hope and Healing International was a great fit for her.

Diana was a light – a beacon of Jesus’ love and hope to others. All her life, she helped children with medical needs thrive. And she knew that God will use her legacy gift to continue transforming the lives of kids living in poverty with disability for years to come.

Our team received the sad news that Diana Phayre has passed away. We wanted to honour Diana and her family through her beautiful story of deep faith and generosity – and we received permission from her family to do so.
