Donald and Laurie Wardley
Donald and Laurie Wardley will tell you that their church shaped their family in many ways. For them, it’s a joy to serve others through their church and beyond. You can easily see their love for people and their desire to show others the love of Jesus.
Donald and Laurie first began supporting Hope and Healing International more than 20 years ago. Donald remembers receiving many different charity mailings, but Hope and Healing International’s work hit home for them.
“We felt the need,” Donald said. “We thought, ‘This is a very worthwhile thing’… Children, and adults too, were having eye issues and were able to be healed.”
Donald and Laurie could see what a tangible difference their support made. It’s one of the reasons they chose to leave a gift in their Wills to Hope and Healing International. “I think [Hope and Healing is] doing tremendous work,” Donald said.
It’s a charity we feel is really worthy. I just felt it was the right thing to do.

Donald and Laurie love knowing their gift will transform children’s lives with the tangible love of Jesus – that they are part of healing bodies and healing hearts in Jesus’ name. When asked what he would say to someone who was considering a gift in their Will, Donald said, “I would probably tell them, ‘There’s no better place to leave a legacy than with Hope and Healing International.’”
