Ingredients
1 ½ teaspoons butter or margarine
1 slice of bread
1 egg
salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
Butter both sides of the bread.
Use a juice glass or cookie cutter to cut out the “nest” for your egg. Tip: Get your kids involved! Let them make the cut out with a cookie cutter. Keep the cut-out to toast up and serve.
Place buttered bread and cut-out in a nonstick pan, cooking on low heat about 2 minutes until lightly toasted.
Flip the bread and crack egg into the hole. Season with salt and pepper.
Continue to cook until egg is cooked to your liking; flip again and cook 1 minute more.
Serve immediately. Be sure to serve with the cut-out to dip, dunk, or spoon the egg!
