An Exciting Update from Malawi!
Thanks to your incredible generosity last year and an unexpected, massive donor gift this year, the entire “No Child Turned Away” program in Malawi has been fully funded! That includes Surgeon Training, Outreach and Identification, Orthopaedic Surgeries and Treatment Plans, and a new Children’s Recovery Ward.
This is a moment to celebrate! You allowed God to use you to tell kids like Mike that they matter… that they deserve to be prioritized… that they shouldn’t have to live in pain and needless disability. Thank you!

YOUR PROGRESS UPDATE
Thanks to the generosity of donors like you, here’s what we accomplished together so far in YEAR 1.
2 of 4 doctors have begun their paediatric orthopaedic training in-country: Dr. Picha Linda Msowoya and Dr. Sophie Nanjala Iteta. 6 of 10 nurses have been identified for training and are registered for an accredited course for paediatric nursing and operating theatre specialties.
12 outreach clinics have taken place all across Malawi. 1,106 children with orthopaedic conditions have been assessed. Hundreds of kids have received the orthopaedic care they desperately need and have started on their journey to healing.
Dr. Leonard Banza and his team have provided orthopaedic care for 352 children. Your dollars have paid for transport, casting, surgery time, bandages and surgical instruments. These orthopaedic surgeries signal a change in surgical focus in the country of Malawi. We are excited to see these numbers grow in the months to come. So far, you’ve provided 25-30% of the paediatric orthopaedic capacity in the whole country.

Our Uganda partner, CoRSU Rehabilitation Hospital, finds itself in the painful position of having to turn children away. They need support from you and me to keep their vital work going.
