We have a divine God who is the source of all hope. Time and time again, the Bible reminds us of the hope we have in Him. We’ve written 10 short, Scripture-based prayers for you to pray this year when you need a spark of hope, a reminder of God’s goodness, or rest for your weary soul.

1. Based on Isaiah 40:31

Lord, help me to wait on you. Thank you for being my source of strength, and for being my constant helper. May I soar on wings like eagles; may I run and not grow weary, may I walk and not be faint.

2. Based on Hebrews 10:23

Help me, God, to hold tightly, without wavering, to the hope I have in you. I thank you that You can be trusted and you keep Your promises.

3. Based on Jeremiah 29:11

Lord, I know you have good plans for me – plans to prosper me and not harm me. Remind me that you are constantly working to arrange things to give me hope and a future – even if I don’t see it that way.

God, help my soul to rest in you, for you are where my hope comes from. Thank you for being my rock and my salvation. In trying times, remind me that you are my fortress, and I will not be shaken.
